Harmon (“Harmon,” “we,” “us”) is a songwriting notebook with an AI co-writer. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Harmon website, mobile app, and related services.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
Content you create. We store the songs, lyrics, notes, and attachments (such as audio recordings, images, and files) you add to your notebook so they sync across your devices.
Usage information. We collect basic technical data needed to run the service, such as log and diagnostic data and general device information.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and maintain your notebook, sync your work across devices, power the Harmon AI co-writer, authenticate you, send account and password-reset emails, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and your notebook content is not used to train third-party AI models.
Service providers
We work with a limited number of trusted third-party providers who process information on our behalf, only as needed to run Harmon — for example, to store your files and media, host our application and database, deliver account and password-reset emails, power the AI co-writer, and provide optional single sign-in. These providers may use your information only to provide services to us and are bound to protect it. We do not sell your personal information, and your notebook content is not used to train third-party AI models.
Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual songs and attachments at any time. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information and content, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Your choices and rights
You can access, edit, or delete your content directly in the app, and you can request deletion of your account by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data, such as the right to access or delete it. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and private-by-default file storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
